Phase 1 – Funding the Farm and NextGen Farmers

Our most immediate need is to bolster the good work of Ethos Farm. A gift to Phase One of our campaign at this time will enable us to expand our regenerative farming practice and produce chemical-free, whole plant foods to relieve chronic illness, and restore health and vitality. In fact, whole plant foods are the most powerful disease-modifying tools available to the medical practitioner. It will additionally formalize the Ethos NextGeneration Farmer training program, offering support, education and housing to young farmers.

Phase 2 – Funding Communications and Expansion of NextGen Farmer and Physicians

Ethos will expand the Medical Internship program in farm-based healthcare to local students interested in becoming Lifestyle Medicine Physicians through Ethos’ NextGeneration Physicians program.

Phase 3 – Ethos Farm Ecosystem and Carbon Trial (EFECT) Initiative with Rodale Institute and Rutgers University

Ethos will continue the critically important grassland carbon sequestration research that is happening on the farm in partnership with Rodale Institute for Regenerative Organic Agriculture and soil scientists from Rutgers University.  Grasslands comprise 40% of the planet’s surface and can do a great deal to help in reversing climate change when managed well. Your impact will further develop the innovative Ethos Farm Ecosystem and Carbon Trial (EFECT) Initiative with Rodale Institute to reduce carbon emission levels.

Phase 4 – Fund Education and Wellness Activities

Ethos Farm to Health offers enlightening educational programs to our community and beyond. In 2021, we offered Kids’ Farm and Food Education events and a Breast Cancer prevention webinar. Our signature event, Ethos Farm Days Festival 2022, was a celebration of health, Whole Food Plant-Based education, nourishment from movement, and eating – all centered around our majestic 280-year-old working farm and National Historic Landmark.

Our 2019 Farm Days series featured such visionaries as Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Gene Baur, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. Saray Stancic, Dr. Scott Stoll, and Dr. T. Colin Campbell.

A longer-term goal for Ethos is to restore our 300-year-old colonial stone barn as an Education and Wellness Center to promote changes in living that have a lasting effect on health outcomes. A welcoming commercial kitchen will be included where we can broadcast live-streaming talks and teach cooking tips to help Ethos share information on a healthy diet to assist in reversing chronic diseases. The kitchen will also be available for use for area farmers in producing new healthy value-added food products for the valley. Included will be a large multi-purpose auditorium for a variety of lifestyle programs.

Programming for local schools and the community and unique farm discovery tours will promote the evidence-based, food-as-medicine approach to optimizing wellness and preventing chronic illness. Ethos will continue to reach people suffering from debilitating chronic illness (diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, and cancer), and to extend their lives potentially free from endless medications, limitations and procedures.
